The iTunes Festival is now underway in London, having kicked off the first night of the month-long concert series with headliner Deadmau5 and opening acts Friends Within and Kate Simko & the London Electronic Orchestra. Performances are streamed live through the official iOS app, iTunes on the Mac or Windows, or via the dedicated Apple TV channel, with selected acts available for repeat or later viewing.
The full listing of performers is now available through the iTunes Festival
web page, and includes new additions Imelda May, The Mirror Trap and SBTRKT among others. Famed operatic tenor Placido Domingo will close the series with a performance on September 30. The Kate Simko performance is current available for on-demand viewing. Beck with opening act Jenny Lewis will take the stage on Tuesday.
All concerts are again being held this year at the famous Roundhouse venue. Tickets are being given away by lottery, but only to UK residents, and via various outlets such as radio stations. Some US fans have a chance to win tickets to some of the later shows through a promotion from
Apple-owned Beats Music.
