I also had a long post in reply to your original post, but it was too nice. I still don't think my point got across in the first post. To attack something is to try destroy it, which equates to destructive not constructive criticism. I never said anything about ignoring you, I only suggested you be more tactful in your approach.

15 years as a qualified designer, having worked around the world with some seriously big brands and talented people. I am happy to say that being an arsehole seldom goes hand in hand with creative ability. If it did, maybe Bush would actually provide some value.

Wow, now you know what its like to have your opinioins attacked. Just like you "constructively criticize" other peoples works, your own criticisms are being attacked now. Look how you react. I think we all learned this in kindergarten...

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. or
Treat others the way that you would like to be treated.

i have never once attacked someone's opinions where i wasn't joking. i have never said that someone's opinion is wrong on this forum. show me one instance where i deliberately attacked someone's opinion, and i mean OPINION (look it up if you need clarifying) and i'll stop posting for a week.

the only reason i'm acting/posting this way is because a) this thread isn't about me or criticism, and b) its pointless to argue with you guys.

Oh, I thought that you would understand that opinion can be about how something looks good. If someones opinion is that they made a good looking thing, then you attack the thing they made, it makes them feel bad. Thats not what this forum is about, relentlessly criticising a newbie's artwork will just keep this community the way it has been for quite a while - very limited in numbers. However, if we show them how to change it so it will be better by saying things like:

it needs some work, maybe you could change the color of the titlebar to a lighter shade of blue and soften up the edges of your graphics. its a good concept though.

Just try to soften the blow, itll go along way to how youre viewed on these forums. Thats all I ask.

I installed Quicksilver today after seeing bluevertical's screenshot (foxy lady!) and OMG what an app! It quite literally urinates on LaunchBar from a great height, not just from a functionality point of view, but mostly in PERFORMANCE, which is an issue worth being in uppercase when you work on a 700Mhz G3!

I highly recommend this app, and for the low, low price of zero down plus zero payments it's worth checking out. I also discovered BuddyPop today - another one to recommend to anyone who hasn't tried it yet.

i highly recommend spending some time on the qs boards too, because this app can do so much more than most people realize! but there is a lot of learning that you need to do on the boards to really learn how to utilize it all. the developer (handle: alcor) is super great and answers any questions almost instantly.

here are a few links to help you along:

best of luck.... but please take the time to learn about it's tab functions etc etc etc!

enjoy!

I agree with you there demograph.

The widget sorta spoils the clean and smooth lines of the rest of the screenshot.
