Ok, I'll start this.
"morbid curiosity"
No matter what happens, there will be a way to keep from paying more in taxes. The big wheels on the Left always find loopholes, so I'll just follow their examples. I've shored up my financial future, and can weather damned near anything that happens for the next 10+ years. Even if it means that we'll need to pack up everything and move to another country (extreme, but it's a possibility).
I'm curious about how he'll handle the job, what mistakes he'll make in the first year, how the markets will respond, etc.. In a sense, I'm looking forward to seeing the collapse or elevation of the "change" initiative. Just going to relax, sit back with a cool beverage, and see how all this unfolds.
You turn.

"same old, same old"
I don't think he'll distance himself politically from any other Democrat we've had in office. The same goes for McCain and the Republicans.
My hope is that after Obama's presidency, we'll see a more diverse set of plausible candidates from a greater range of the political spectrum. It's too bad McCain didn't run as an independent, he wouldn't have been pressured into picking up Palin.

As long as Democrats and Republicans are the two major parties, we will not see much deviation from party ideologies, not matter who sits in the Oval Office.
I would love to see a different party come to power, or even someone that has no affiliation get into high office. Yes, I know I am dreaming.

The worst president ever.
If you remember after Wilson there were a really bad string of presidents startin with Harding:
A Democratic leader, William Gibbs McAdoo, called Harding's speeches "an army of pompous phrases moving across the landscape in search of an idea.
He did not live to find out how the public would react to the scandals of his administration. In August of 1923, he died in San Francisco of a heart attack.
Then Coolidge:
The political genius of President Coolidge, Walter Lippmann pointed out in 1926, was his talent for effectively doing nothing.
He refused to use Federal economic power to check the growing boom or to ameliorate the depressed condition of agriculture and certain industries. His first message to Congress in December 1923 called for isolation in foreign policy, and for tax cuts, economy, and limited aid to farmers.
And last but not least Herbert Hoover:
After the crash Hoover announced that while he would keep the Federal budget balanced, he would cut taxes and expand public works spending.
At the same time he reiterated his view that while people must not suffer from hunger and cold, caring for them must be primarily a local and voluntary responsibility.
Aren't these bad Presidents familiar to anyone right now. We are at the second bad one, hopefully he won`t be reelected after Americans make this huge very huge mistake to elect him.

And as long as people continue to dream those dreams, their energies will be wasted when they could be channelled into reforming the two major parties. After all, Democrats were the segregationists not so long ago.
Another phrase to describe a potential Obama presidency:

Why do I have to be a Democrat or Republican? Why can't I make my own choices based on what I believe is correct without party prejudice?
I do.
Now, why can't we have a candidate that does the same?
