I'm a little under half-way to Zombie Genocidest.

I do have to say, I'm a little surprised at how little NN cares to play this game, but I guess Bogues & Fatty are rarely on anyway.

I honestly got a little burnt-out from all the multi games I was playing.

Between Halo 3, L4D, and Gears 2 I logged more matches than I care to count, hence the Fallout 3 love-fest.

Given the extreme pace of Survival Mode, the number of zombies killed in a single round often outnumbers an entire campaign. Even optimizing towards using pistols to eliminate common hordes, ammunition usually becomes an issue at some point. As ammo piles provide a unique infinite resupply for players, they tend to be in relatively less defensible positions in the Survival arenas. This means making an all important ammo run is rarely a safe proposition and requires good teamwork and planning. Timing your resources correctly to be able to make a run when necessary can make or break a team. The perfect pipebomb or well placed molotov can mean the difference between a cakewalk and catastrophe.

Something tells me stogie is gonna beat me to the genocidist achieve.

I hate Left 4 Dead players more than Counter Strike now. I'm regularly kicked from games simply because I don't have a microphone. I've been kicked from more games than I can count simply because my MacBook Pro isn't fast enough to load the game and let me spawn instantly with the other players.

To be fair, I'd say having a mic in L4D is more important than any other game I've played. It's not always easy to notice one of your teammates is smoked/pounced or that they're falling behind. Let alone extra info if you spot something the others don't.

But yeah, I wouldn't kick someone for that.

It's on my radar and they show up in a red outline on my screen. It's not that hard.

Yeah, I don't kick people who don't have a mic, but I definitely view it as a big handicap. I can't tell you how many times I've been grabbed and had to be like, "Hey, when you get a minute, could you please kill this smoker? No rush."

Survival mode is hard. Best so far is only 1 second over Bronze time (4:00)

I'm at my buddy's house for his bday, he's the Wii owner and has been enamored with L4D since he played it first last week.

He'll be getting his legs in single player, but I'll be on all day so I hope to see a good NN crew tonight.

Something I wasn't aware of is the new map for survival, awesome Valve.

Last night was pretty fun guys. Good times. Survival mode is definitely brutal. I think with a high level of coordination, we could get to silver standard (or whatever they call it) on a map or 2. Its all about communication and planning, I would guess. Oh, and flat out luck (ie - not getting 15 smokers in one match).

Overall I'm liking the free DLC.

Last Stand is the hardest one apparently. I was looking at the Leaderboard for the No Mercy roof and the record stands at 35 minutes. I, I just don't understand that. Past 15 minutes it sounds like each person is basically fighting a solo climax event.

Yeah, it was awesome playing with you guys again. Its funny too, medium 9 just asked about you guys earlier in the day (we work together). Then you pop into our game and make it 10x better. We were strugglin with the computer players.

35 minutes?? On the first night?? That is just insane. I was thinking surviving 10 minutes would be next to impossible. Show's what I know.
