In my 15" Albook running 10.2.8, i cannot get anything to work in the PCMCIA slot. I have tried two different cards and neither work at all - no light, no nothing. Both of them work flawlessly in a friend's 15" Albook - and his recently fell down two flights of stairs!

He is running panther, so that might be it, and i will upgrade here shortly (just been too busy with school to do a nice format until now).

Any ideas? Apple System Profiler seems to think that i do have a PCMCIA slot.

I believe you're right - Panther has changed nothing. Odd though, my Airport card works fine.

Bummer
