Well, I finally got up the nerve and ordered a refurbished 12" 1ghz PowerBook from Apple. It shipped on Wednesday and was supposed to be here today...Well, turns out my package was on the FedEx plane that caught on fire in Memphis TN yesterday. I was happy to hear that no one on the plane was hurt but it was a big letdown/shock to say the least.

Oh well, I am sure FedEx and Apple will straighten it all out...eventually...?

I believe it was just some landing gear or the wing that caught fire, nothing in the cargo hold was harmed. But no official word on that from Fed Ex

It's just an ordinary day and it's all your

just gotta say it's alright!

I thought that they had fixed the overheating problem when they went from Rev. A to Rev. B!

(sorry, I couldn't resist)

Wonder if there were any 5300's on board? Seriously though, heartfelt thoughts to all those who lost holiday gifts on board. An insurance claim form is no substitute for a gift from Grandma.

They are being pretty vague and non-commital so far on the condition of the packages. So, time will tell.

Its here!!! It survived the inferno and the cold to make it here, only a few days late, and unscathed. The airport extreme card is still mia, but I can live with that
