From what I've heard, the answer is no. There are some combined solutions that have worked well for people. I think DVD2One is pretty popular -- do a search.

The Pro version of DVDRemaster is $50 and it still doesn't look like it has all of the features of the (free) DVDShrink, an awesome program. perhaps DVDShrink would work in VPC? might be the best solution for people who don't have a PC to run it on.

does it allow you to set individual compression levels for all of the different titles on the disc, or pick and choose the titles you want? Also, it requires an external program to break the DVD encryption (and, let's face it, nobody uses these programs to backup their home movies)

No you can remove extras and it tells you how much you have to compress it.

You still have to use the free mac the ripper to get around commercial DVD's.
