I will probably update my pic on the PowerMac forum, but as of last night I am now the proud new owner of a PowerBook (again!).. I also got the new fangled HP upright scanner which is the only option I had for space!
Also.. Please don't ask me why my Lacie is upside down! - just think wire clutter and power cables!
Here is the set up, and all the boxes (trees) it killed!

no-- actually I need to get another AirPort Exp.. and mount it next to my pre-amp and channel it thru the built-in surround sound and home speaker system.. that's next!
The Engineers at Lacie need to get a clue on that power chord, don't they?

Thats why a lot of tech jobs and people from Cali are comming out here... you get to be only one state over... Summer, while hot, is tolerable as it's dry.. and the cost of living (housing) is about 1/3-1/2 of the Bay Area.
Mind you, house prices are rocketing up here due to this growth, I maid over 15% on my house that I built less than 1 year ago... it's literally like printing cash.

Well, like I said, I am obsessively clean. I keep Clorox wipes around at all times so that I can clean any of my things that other people touch. I typically check the locks and light switches in my house about 10 times before I go to bed. I take two showers a day and I am actually scared of milk.
Sounds fun, no?

how does Wireless VGA work? does the converter box on the tv just allow the tv to be linked to the computer like a printer can be linked via airport? does the powerbook need another dongle or something?

i think i'm envious of the minimalism only because my own space is a complete, chaotic disaster. of course, if i ever clean up, i can't ever figure out where i put anything so i guess it's an organized chaos.

I actually find just the opposite, for what I use my computer and desk area for, I find I'm actually more productive when I am free of clutter. I'm a minimalist, so maybe that is a reason my desk area is more organized than some.
I have a freind who is just the opposite, and that type of enviroment works well for him.
Example: Some people like having their kitchen appliances always sitting on their counter, and others prefer to place them in cabinets when they aren't being used. For me, an effective work space is one where I have room to work in. This is especially important when you have a small kitchen or small desk area to work with.

The plasma already has VGA input. The dlink merely links PB with the monitor wirelessly. I bought to use when making presentations with a projector, not using wires. Allows much more flexability.
I wish Apple offered it as an option for presentations! I use it with a projector so to get rid of cable clutter!

Thats the trancepriest special powerbook edition... told Steve that I wanted a powerbook to accentuate my personality... and cool as he is... he hooked me up with a pcmcia slot on the left. He kind of messed up though... he forgot to paint it marijuana green for me. Hey even Steve can screw up sometimes... we all remember 3ghz by this summer don't we.
