My wife and I are currently using a PowerMac 8500 (with a 200mhz 604e) as our file server.

Question 1) I keep randomly encountering an error with file name length. I know that there is a restriction but thought it would append the file name. Is there any way around this aside from a dif OS?

Question 2) What software is required to create an appletalk zone on our network? I have Appleshare 5 but have encountered severe issues when trying to run it on os 9.1

thanks, Jeff
