I'm about to order a 20" iMac, stock except 2gb of RAM and the 256mb video card instead of the standard 1gb and 128mb video.

Is this something I can get in the store, or should I just order online?

Don't be so sure. Apple retail stores have occassionally carried certain popular BTO configs. Especially for the iMac.

My local retail store carries the upgraded 24" iMac with the high end nvidia card. SO, one may carry the 256MB 20"
