Since the 10.4.3 update my Superdrive reports it's max burning speed at 2x and CD burning speed max 10x. I am the exact same media i used before the update and used to be able to burn DVD at 8x and CD R at 24x, after the update things seemed to have slowed down considerably, any suggestions or explainations would be greatly appreciated.

iMac G5, 20" 2.0ghz, 1gb ram, 250gb hdd, 8x superdrive.

Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

What program are you using to burn these CDs/DVDs? Toast?

Toast or the Finder or Disk Utility, they all report the same thing.
