Help I am real new at adding features to my Imac. Just installed Trendnet wireless router on my "base" Imac. Spent almost 2 hrs with guy from New Delhi. Everything is fine but cannot detect the " fan" icon on second Imac. How do I go about setting it up to detect the router. I know it has an ether card. It used to be set up to a dial up dsl and it was the "base".

Go to System Preferences and click the Network icon. Click "Airport" in the list of connections and click the "Configure" button. At the bottom of that window, check the box next to "Show Airport Status in Menu bar". That will make the icon show up.

Hope that helps.
