Is there anyway (or App) that would allow me to stream a movie from my own iPhone to my iPad?

Not anymore. I seem to remember such an app being developed, but Apple pulled it from the App Store.

Rogue Amoeba was working on something like that, but Apple pointed out that it was disallowed under their guidelines.

Perhaps they will figure out a way to accomplish this seamlessly (remember, that's very important to Apple) in some future version of iOS, but for now I have to say I don't think this is that big a deal. I'd probably feel differently if I only had iOS devices rather and no Mac.
