Orion, do you really doubt it? Do I have to go and filter through all of his facebook posts to find it for you?

Blah.

Why are you wasting your time with any of this? The election was on Tuesday. I realize your gal lost on policy, personality and the ability to communicate. Personal destruction is all you have left. Brown will be watched very closely. Meanwhile, enjoy watching the Democrats eat their young in the coming days, while they steal Brown's populist message.

I'm sure he will be. Coakley wasn't truly "my gal" but she didn't have to be for me to be concerned with rabid foaming at the mouth from the other side.

And with that, we are back on topic, which is people ranting.

"Rabid foaming at the mouth from the opposition"? Opposition to what, Brown's pickup truck?

subego: the more I read quotes like that the more I think about Noam Chomsky. It's incredible how dim-witted so many people are about the roles of these sorts of talking heads. Firstly, it is to secure ratings. Secondly, Oibermann is a soldier of the Democratic party just as Hannity is of the right (and so many others are of their respective parties). It is in their interest to be soldiers, because that is their gig, that is what gives them the power and status that they have, and that is also what helps their ratings.

It's an incredible circular, intertwined sort of relationship.

On the other hand, Big Mac, spacefreak, and Ann Coulter jokes about Rachel Maddow looking like a dude.

I wasn't making jokes. I wasn't 100% sure if my assumption was correct. I don't watch her show, and I really don't see her around anywhere, so I'm no nearly as familiar with the person as it seems others are. Her celebrity just hasn't come into my life.

For it to be that, he'd have to add something. It was flat out mimicry.

Now, if the thrust of your point is that it was a joke, everybody is going to claim that as a defense, so that doesn't really differentiate them. What sets them apart is one of them, considering their ostensible opinions, should know better.

Um... the whole bit was satire. Wasn't it obvious enough?

Normal bit: Worst persons in the World.
Satire bit: Not Worst persons in the world.

You think Olbermann is really agreeing with those guys? Although Olbermann is no where close to as funny as Stephen Colbert.

No. Which is why I didn't quote that part of the bit.
