My Intel Mac won't recognize my new Viewsonic 22" wide display, so in the display preferences I'm only offered 4:3 screen resolutions. It did recognize my old 19" wide and offered 1440x900 just fine, but it won't work with this one. Back when I was getting my iBook to successfully span its screen, I seem to remember a utility that would force a certain screen resolution and I'd like to find that again.

Sweet, it works perfectly. It refused to offer me widescreen resolutions so I hooked the screen to my iBook and took down all the info for a custom resolution and now I have 1680x1050, works great. Thanks!
