this has happened to me twice (in Mail on 10.5.7);
went to another app, got a message from Mail "could not save Note" and...one of my notes is gone.
a page FILLED with important stuff.

2 questions: anyone else have this happen?
and, where are notes stored?

thanx...

edit: found my old notes (in mail/mailboxes) but lost all the new stuff i just typed in... a problem for anyone else??

Apple Notes is such a bad implementation, it's not even worth getting upset about it.

I'd highly recommend Evernote.

They offer free clients for Macs, PCs and iPhones, and free web access as well.
It's far superior to the crippled Apple Notes.

well, i've only had this happen twice (fortunately, today, i had synced my ipod touch, and got the lost data back from that). apple notes would be fine for me IF this doesn't happen again...

Well, maybe your should still consider Evernotes.

It has so many features that make it worthwhile:
  • web access
  • full search
  • tags
  • cross platform
  • sync via WiFi
  • web clippings from Safari
