No, I do have a preview release of the next Flash installed however, but I wasn't doing a tremendous amount of browsing.

Valve runs better, system seems snappier, and battery life improved. A great update.

Do you have the 64 bit flash installed? That brought my alu macbook to its knees. It had memory leaks that would eventually cause it to use more than all my other apps combined, on top of being extremely heavy on the processor. I would check to see exactly how much of your proc and memory its using, cuz I bet you'd get at least an hour more if you removed it completely and probably a good chunk of that if you install the regular version with clicktoflash.

Yes I do. And it's not having the same effect on my Mac, yesterday I was playing a 720p Flash video and it was only using 8% CPU and 18 Mb of RAM. I was very, very impressed. But again, when I'm unplugged I'm normally not viewing any video at all, the most Flash I'll ever see is banners like here at MacNN for adverts.

I removed flash from my system and installed 10.6.5 and my battery life has improved on average by about an hour. Kudos to Apple.

10.6.5 has broken Fluid Mask 3, the masking application/plug-in for Photoshop.
It crashes on start-up.

No, your start-up issues have nothing to do with software.

10.6.5 kills support for my external monitor, on my Core i7 iMac (summer 2010). I tried two different installs of 10.6.4 (default install from the iMac, and my old November backup of 10.6.4 from my previous iMac), and they both work fine with that monitor.
With 10.6.5, my external screen is just blank, but it seems the problem manifests itself with most people as a screen flicker. However, that same monitor works fine in 10.6.5 on my MacBook Pro, with the exact same 10.6.5 install. Here is the thread I started on it:
Mac OS X 10.6.5 causes screen incompatibilities with certain Macs
