I've noticed that since upgrading to Panther, I don't have any scrollbars in Word, to scroll the document. While I do have a scroll wheel, it is very inconvient without the scroll bars.
I have tried different view methods, quitting and opening with different documents, and even to the extent of deleting Office X and reinstalling Office X, with the updates. Nothing has worked so far.
Does anybody else have any suggestions?
TIA.

Nick.

Hah! This is a Microsoft product -- that's not a bug, it's a feature!
No, really!
Go into the Preferences, click on View (if it's not already selected), and look under "Window" for "Horizontal scroll bar" and "Vertical scroll bar". Make sure both of those are selected (they sometimes seem to deselect themselves for no apparent reason), and you should be good to go.
Really, expecting advanced features like scrollbars to be there by default... what are you, a Mac user or something?

Yep, thanks Phoenix, it worked a charm.
Now, who would want to disable scroll bars....

I like disabling the horizontal one - you just get a much cleaner looking Word (I also disable most of the toolbar items, etc.)
but disabling the vertical one is weird.
