The MacTCP DNR file in the System Folder keeps changing to "" (minus quotes).
This is only on OS 9 Macs and is happening on different networks, ie, LAN at the office, home cable modem, and dialup(s).
I have trashed TCP/IP settings, MacTCP DNR, and rebooted to no avail. Some have the OT 2.6 update, some don't. Anyone else seeing this?

yes, there have been others that have reported this file 'going gibberish'... http://forums.macnn.com/cgi-bin/Foru...ML/000125.html

no solutions though, and it 'seems' to be cosmetic... perhaps you should post to the Apple MacOS forum: http://discuss.info.apple.com/boards...150&Expand=7#7

I thought this was caused by the OT update, but another post suggests OS 9 is the only constant. It doesn't appear to affect functionality. One suggestion is to rename the giggerish file "MacTCP DNR". I tried this & it stuck.
