This is messed up. This morning I woke up with a bad stomach ache. It must have been that chili reyeno burrito... but that's another story. Right before I woke up...
I reading an okay thread on the lounge. I had a bazillion tabs open with great threads, the funnies and smartest most educational threads in the lounge. I then tried clicking to the next one... nothing.
"Okay," I said to myself. "Must be a fluke."
Tried again and nothing. Reload, command + whatever key, click + prayer, nothing was working. All these great threads were waiting and I was stuck in this mediocre thread. AAAAHHHRRRRGGGGG!
I woke up and realized that this is simply F@cked up. It wasn't an orgy party in the Bahamas, nope. I was actually dreaming about a nerdy forum. WTF, something is wrong. Has MacNN been putting subliminal messages or something?
Anyway, I'm still disturbed at my nerdy ness.
Has this happened to anybody else?

Man, that is nerdy. I don't remember all of my dreams, but when I do, it's usually good stuff. If I were you, I'd take a little break from 'NN.

Yeah, I'll be taking a break soon enough. But when you're bored at work... well it's just too easy. I guess I could do work or something.

Hmm, I do recall a dream I had about Quake II when I was a freshman in college. I remember trying to shoot my floormates in the hallway with my Railgun. That was an awesome dream and it made me want to play more

OH shoot, I'm following a pattern.
I just remembered that for Quake III Arena, I did dream I was jumping around and shooting at things. That was awesome, I loved the supper jumps.
Okay, I now see the pattern... next is cyber porn games.
Of course to complement the reality that is mylife. nuff said.

I rarely have nightmares that aren't about people dying. people always die in my nightmares. don't know why. and they are always part of my family. But i do have funny dreams though. Just got to try and remember one, see you forget them so easily.

So I did take a break from this place. But not of my own doing.
I have spent the last four days in bed sick as a dog (flue). The first two fever-shish days I kept dreaming of some number equation and how they replicated and became applications. It wasn't till yesterday that the world actually stood firm.
Anyway, reading the some of the new threads was a great way to pass the evening.
The humor in this is place is worth every cooky dream I may have!

Yes, its always good to take a break from something when you start dreaming about it...
I had to after starting to teach my self Maya, and had dreams about polygons and NURBs...
It was bad.

Wow. There is no way to state this politely over the Internet, but it definitely appears that you have serious psychological issues. Sadly, I have experienced the deaths of a small number of close family members, but I never dream of their deaths. An immediate family member suffered an untimely death, but the few dreams I have had of him have been positive. You are not, by any chance, responsible for your family member's deaths in these dreams, are you? I am not trying to be facetious - it just sounds like a serious concern.

I've been dreaming about systems of partial differential equations, iterative solvers and Markovian processes for the past 3 nights, because of an oral exam I have tomorrow. Ugh.
I can't await to purge all the knowledge I have attained for this exam from my brain through excessive use of alcohol. A World of Warcraft marathon also doesn't sound bad. Perhaps I'll regain some sanity that way.

Yeah, happened to me as well. Then I woke up and I WAS at work... I hate it when reality disguises itself as a dream...

I know this is something you mean to be serious at but....
Is it his conscience?

I don't think it a serious issue. But then, what do I know?... but then, what do you know? What does anybody really know?
Perhaps in Storer's dreams, the meaning of "death" could be interpreted differently by his subconscious. Dream analysis is not a science by any stretch of the definition.

I woke up today with a dream of the end of the world, where robots were taking over, like a bad combination of the Borg and Terminator. Basically throughout the dream I was trying to escape the explosions and robots who were trying to round up the remaining humans. I was trying to find my girlfriend but I was too late.
