jOBS -- the first Steve Jobs biopic to enter production after his death -- will reach theaters on April 19th, says the Hollywood Reporter. The movie is directed by Joshua Michael Stern and written by Matthew Whitely, and stars Ashton Kutcher. The arc of the movie covers the period between Jobs dropping out of college and him becoming one of the most famous corporate moguls.

An earlier glimpse at the film is coming January 25th, when it will show at the Sundance Film Festival. To help promote the film, Kutcher and co-star Josh Gad, who plays Steve Wozniak, will make an appearance at next week's Macworld conference. Another Jobs biopic is still in development. That movie is being penned by Aaron Sorkin, best known for movies like The Social Network and TV shows like The Newsroom. Late last year, Sorkin revealed that the movie should be broken down into just three real-time scenes, each set right before a major Apple product launch. Stern's jOBS is expected to use a more conventional narrative structure.

He says from what he saw, they got the story behind the company's beginnings wrong, along with the two Steves' personalities portrayed in the movie.

(the site's a bit ad-heavy, but worth it for the quote at the end of the article)

I won't see it.

Jobs would not approve of it and would probably find it supremely disrespectful given the inaccuracies. They never should've made this movie. Plus he's dead, so that's an even bigger spit in the face.

F*** this movie.
