Hi, I want to set up an iMac to a DSL modem connection, then install 10bastT ethernet cards into a couple of pc's and a mac, install vicom internet gateway onto the iMac(I'm assuming thats what I need) then let all the pc's and macs(about 6 of them) share that internet connection and share a central file server and maybe even a printer(from the server(imac)). Do I use an 8 port 10bastT ethernet hub? or a router? or what? will vicom internet gateway do the trick of sharing the connection(and a printer possibly in the future)? Thanks a TON

I never use 10mbit hubs get a good 10/100 switch. you'll be glad you did. Get a printer that has 100bt connection makes life easier.

Vicom will work, also check out IPNetRouter (macorchard.com). You'll need a hub.
