I've been playing around with different boot screens, login screets, etc. from ResExcellence. I noticed that some files have to be in .pdf format to be used.

How do you save an image as a .pdf? I have Photoshop, but didn't see this as an option.

Print the image. In the Print dialog, you'll see a "Save as PDF..." option; click this and choose where you want to save. That'll save the image as a PDF.

You can also open it in Preview and export it to PDF too.

I just use "Save as Photoshop PDF".
