Well,

Tomorrow is supposed to be the rapture, so just in case it happens I thought I would say some goodbyes. Let's see....

- I love all of you, especially turtle777
- I am the best here
- I have slept with 7 of you, you know who you are...
- My real name is not besson3c
- I am related to Burt Reynolds
- That whole Abe thing was my doing
- I was right in every PWL argument that ever existed that I participated in
- It was fun while it lasted, see you on the other side

I, for one, am looking forward to the ensuing debauchery once all the prudes get taken away.

Oh, and if anyone's looting my house on Sunday, please excuse the mess in the kitchen. Maid's not been in for several weeks. Thanks.

The worst thing about the Rapture is all the real Christians will be taken away, but all the self-righteous Talibangelicals and uberCatholics will still be here with us.

I'm going to the theme park after the rapture. No lines. It's going to be awesome.

Geez, the only place where there will be no lines after the rapture is the churches.

It's interesting that Doofy just disappeared. He's probably curled up in a fetal position listening to Burt Bacharach.

Of course I was curled up in a foetal position listening to Burt Bacharach - that's just standard Friday night territory... ...you know that.
But I don't think I disappeared. I'll have to phone a few people just to be sure, but I can still see my hands and arms and stuff.

Foetal? Nice spelling dummy... Man, you are so dum.

Good thing that the rapture is happening soon, cause I figure that since Doofy lives in the UK it will take him a while to get here to kick my ass, and with the rapture coming there will be a lot of missing pilots, especially on planes where Jesus is the co-pilot.

P.S. Megadeath sucks, hippy.

I see a lot of immaturity being displayed in this thread and denial. The truth is that those of you scoffing at the rapture would be literally shitting your pants and looking for the nearest copy of a bible if you saw that hundreds of millions of people had disappeared from the face of the earth at once. You would be instant converts ready to die for your new found faith.

The bible is very clear that only god the father knows the day and hour so this guy making predictions with "numerology" should be ignored. Christians are supposed to be prepared for it to happen at any moment without any warning. That does not mean that people should stop living but it just means that they should be spiritually prepared (saved) through acceptance of Christ as their personal saviour.

It's actually supposedly 6:00 p.m. in your local time zone (God apparently has limited bandwidth and can't take us all at once), so it should have happened already in New Zealand and such. But so far it's looking good!

Eh, I only see the rapture as a potential solution to some of the Earth's overpopulation and stupidity problem. Though I'm not sure how much a mere 200 million plucks will really help.

Anyways, the 'sinners' who will be left behind are generally those who run the media and major corporations anyways, so the societal machine will continue unabated after the DOW drops a few hundreds points at the shock of it all, and I'll have nicked myself a much nicer car by Monday night.

This is false, biblically-speaking. The Bible says over and over that there will be signs. Of course, like a typical Christian, you believe whatever you want and call it Christianity.
That does not mean that people should stop living but it just means that they should be spiritually prepared (saved) through acceptance of Christ as their personal saviour.
When you preach stupid things, people will consider you stupid. I hope you are "spiritually prepared" for that.

Personally I think we ALL got left behind. Not a single one of us humans was up to snuff.

Apparently we have until October before the shit hits the divine fan though.

It would be most interesting if a different group vanished today. Some group other than is generally expected, like the nerds who help people with tech problems. Leaving all the ingrate idiots behind asking each other how to set their clocks.

Without us, they'd be back in the stone age within a year.

Here is a common common thing that some people like to bring up:
Jesus says several times that he will be returning in the lifetime of the apostles. Oops. Yet another failed prediction. Guess the son had't received the latest communique from dad.
But what they fail to notice is the context of verses like:
Jesus said, "Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place." Matthew 24:34

When you put it in the context of Matthew 24: 4–31 you see that Jesus is talking about future events and so "this generation" refers to people around when these things are happening rather than to the generation of his apostles.
See:
What did Jesus mean when He said, "this generation will not pass"?

It'd make my evening easier if everyone in the world who bought a smartphone today would vanish. Namely, my parents.
