Rick Falkvinge, pirate Blog Archive More on the Ubiquitous Wiretapping Bill

Swedish authorities are planning to pass a bill that would basically allow them to spy on every bit of Internet traffic they can get their hands on. People often think the US government is scary, but good grief, this kind of unlimited surveillance is ridiculous.

When the cops say "whoa", you know it's bad.

In a moment you will post a naive statement about how you trust your illegal wiretapping overlord.

My question is - how do you know that? Since he wiretaps illegally and did not admit it, what makes you think you know how much illegal wiretapping he is doing?

So how is that going to affect high quality Swedish porn?

We are all well aware of your feelings about Bush. Would you like to add something regarding the topic at hand, or should I just go ahead and lock this thread before we get the full on derailment?

Friendly advice: peeb seems to be getting banned lately, so it's probably worth the time to check that before posting.

I don't know if Bush KNOWS HOW to spy. He's either a major IDIOT when convenient, or Super clever/smart/evil.

Pick one....

Domestic spying is hardly a new thing in the US and hardly something that Bush though up all by himself. Anyone remember CARNIVORE? ECHELON? TIA?

Seems to me that Sweden is merely catching up.
