We just had a frigging train robbery on the CTA.

Just happened, so news is thin. I'll post a story once the journos get some coffee.

Either blue or red.

Could be Democrats, could be Republicans.

Very interesting this isn't getting reported. It's the hot topic in r/chicago on Reddit.

I guess it could be bogus, but no one has alleged that and the OP is still in the thread.

Did anyone see Money Train?

I hear it's really good, but avoided it because I thought it was the stupidest name ever.

10 years later I learn the "money train" is a real thing. Still a stupid name, but much better as a reference to a real thing rather than a writer's flight of whimsy.

For those not in on the secret, the "money train" is where all the fares collected end up. Each station has a rail line attached (duh), so it makes sense to collect it all by train at the end of the day.

Did the guys walk through the train telling people to "stick-em up" or "reach for the sky"?

Modern train robbery is soooo dull.

AFAICT, they hit one car and hightailed it.

As long as they get all the money back to Niska, they'll be solid.

It's like it never happened.
