Ok so I got a Microsoft digital media keyboard 3000 and I cant use the F-keys (f1 f2 f3 etc) so I get the drivers and they started to work (In a way) but its nothing like it was wen I had a mac keyboard, and I cant use it for gameing because it dose nothing (Now it may help to know the game, so its minecraft) so Im just asking for help to get my F-keys back up and running.
Ps I did look in system preferences at the setting and it said the keys are being handled by mac OS, and it said that it should be like using my old keyboard.

Did you go into Keyboard preferences and click "Change keyboard" to try to have the system identify the keyboard?

If 'Keyboard preferences' is in system preferences, there is no change keyboard for me.

What options do you have in your keyboard preferences? I'm on an MBP, but i have:
key repeat rate
delay until repeat
change keyboard type
use all F keys as standard function keys (portable specific option, I'm sure)
illuminate keyboard (again, portable specific)
show keyboard viewer in menu bar
The "Change Keyboard Type" button is supposed to be there for the exact purpose you need it: to correctly identify the keyboard connected to your computer if it's not being identified correctly. I'd try uninstalling the MS drivers you installed and just start from scratch using the OS X settings.
Oh, is this a wired or wireless keyboard? If wireless, is it bluetooth or radio?
