On Sunday on the BBC:

BBC - Electric Dreams - Home Page

Fascinating stuff (it's a repeat) as a houshold attempt to live with tech from four different decades. Narrated by one of my clients (which is nice).

In the 80's episode the family have to go shopping and find a variety of items on their list while avoiding duplicating purchases. They are equipped with those most 80's of communication devices, pagers.
Amazing to see the effort needed to find payphones, enter messages and send them to each other.
