Hi,
I testing the MacOSX DP3 on a G4/500 Mhz. Why when i'm using the "Apple System Profile" into the BlueBox (MacOS9) , to see the hardware overview. I get the processor speed of a G3/500????

You've gotta remember, much of the classic environment has been modified from it's original. Chances are, the OS X team just didn't enter the G4 400 into the database yet.
Just a tiny problem. If you check on most Pentium 3 machines, Windows 95, and 98 will swear it's a Pentium 2.
I'm sure you're problem will be cleared up in the final version.
Anybody else have a theory?

I like your theory. I think the other part of it is that G4 processor cards may not actually be registering as being different cards than the G3 cards. I think the MacOS actually determines which chip it is by asking the chip itself. So, it may show up as the same card.
