Ah, Milan Cathedral. Took this when I was doing a concert there last year with my choir:

Lovely place - shame the restoration was still going on at the time (as in your pic) so couldn't see the front facade.

... And still going on now: it's also aptly called La fabbrica del Duomo (or La fabbrica del Domm in Milanese dialect), which essentially means that the cathedral is in a state of "perennial" restoration - beginning from the times of its construction.

Another restoration which, OTOH, is almost completely finished by now is that of the Pirelli building, which shared the unfortunate destiny of being hit by a plane shortly after the WTC episode - it looks like new, today:

This may be a tough one, but you won't find these critters anywhere else:

Hint: located in a a country in Oceania.
they have a large group of these guys in the aquarium in New York. Great colors and fascinating way of surviving.

Great pictures everyone. I don't know where most of the places are, but I do enjoy looking at them.

I figure that's probably Thailand, though I can't remember the name of the bay. What you have there is a mature cone karst (limestone, midway though being dissolved by rainwater) that formed when ocean levels were lower, and now the seas have risen enough to make islands out of the peaks.

........but a closer look reveals a lack of trash littering the streets so I guess it can't be New England

Okay, 600 might have been an exaggeration from Dallas, (really, more like 350, I think) but now you're off by just about 700.

Never been there, I've just read about it, and that place stuck in my mind because of these special wee jellyfish - but it's on my top 10 of places to experience!

Yeah, that was a pretty wild guess

But not even close... The place is a lovely castle ruin, located on an island on the westcoast of Scotland, connected with a bridge to the Scottish mainland - and the last clue: The main town on that particular island is Portree.

Let me know if you need any more clues?
