Funny, everybody seems to be telling a different stories. I've read posts that clearly stated it did NOT feel any faster or snappier at all. Then again, some seem to be experiencing a miraculous blast. You do the math.

Anyhow, this thread does not belong here, therefore I'm moving it to the Mac OS X forums.

I have a g3/700 iBook and Tiger is a dramatic improvement over 10.2.8.

If you're used to 10.3 on slower hardware you may not be as impressed.

I have a 600 MHz G3 iBook with 384 MB, and Tiger has performed quite well except in one respect: when I use the ctrl-command-d dictionary feature, the cursor gets bogged down and I can't move it to the scroll or "More" features while the dictionary window remains open. I don't know if this is a function of the graphics card or RAM or what.

I have a 900MHz G3 iBook and I'm very happy with Tiger. Best OS update I've seen in a long time as for as I'm concerned.

I'm also running it on a g3/600 iBook with 384 ram. It is definately faster - but that may also be due to the complete reformat I did. At any rate - it will run well on your machine.
