To: Pepsi Co

We have noticed your new "patriotic" can with pictures of the Empire State Bilding, and the Pledge of Allegiance on them. However, you left out two little words on the pledge, "Under God". You said that you did not want to offend anyone. If this is true, then we don't want to offend anyone at the Pepsi corporate office. So if we don't buy any Pepsi product, you will not be offended when you don't receive our money that has the words "In God We Trust" on it

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

Wow there are almost 700 people who have been had so far.

Some comedy gold there in the comments. People are getting really angry over a can of soda that *does not exist*. Boy oh boy.

cheers

That's because the people who jump on these particular band wagons are trained not to think for themselves, and are instead taught to behave like sheep.

Better yet, how about one that says Coca-Cola? Might sell more.

Yes, God should always be the top in any sexual relationship.

I happen to like the words "under God" in the pledge. Those that don't like them can choose not to use them. With it brings better morals and a better America.

Certain things in life should remain mysteries. However, I do like the down home earthiness of this contribution.

Leaving aside the religious issues, "under God" was added to the Pledge during the anti-Communist hysteria of the 50s, reason enough to scrap it.

I remember a similar bru-ha-ha about WalMart and Desert Storm Vets. I can't recall exactly what it was, but everyone went ape over the issue, and then it turned out to be the invention of some bored teenager, and completely untrue.

Nonsense. You don't have to be religious to be moral. They're separate things.

Regardless, our Constitution clearly lays out that the government may not prescribe any religion, and having "under god" in the Pledge clearly violates this law.

Actually our constitution clearly says Congress shall not pass any law in regards to religious matters. That congress is bound from doing such things.

It wasn't till recently did that get broadened to mean more than it originally did.
