Does anyone know if the take-apart instructions for the most recent 1.67GHz Aluminum PowerBook 15" w/ Dual layer SuperDrive are any different from the previous 15" 1.67GHz version that only had the single layer superdrive?
I need to replace the DC board on the dual-layer PowerBook 15" (the high res version) and I can't find the service manual or a good take-apart instruction set for that version.
Anyone have any idea?

Now that I'm disassembling the PowerBook, I can see that there are differences. Damn.
Can anyone point me to a take-apart guide for this computer?

True, but they're really not that different. Just keep track of the screws, use the existing guide, and you should be fine.

Try PowerBookMedic.com they have a downloadable take-apart manual...but call them to make sure you get the proper manual 1.67 and not 1.5
