I have no idea when this started, or if my macbook has always done it, but whenever I am playing a game or watching a video online, the framerate starts out fine, then drops until unplayable, I have tried opening the computer and cleaning the fans, virus scanning and resetting PRAM, nothing has helped, I love this little computer, but this is really annoying me, please help.

thanks for replying I have my macbook upgraded to 4gb ram, and my harddrive has 144GB remaining out of 249 GB.

You might want to check your nVidia GPU and processor temperature. I think its throtling down to cool down hence hitting your fps. This happens when the thermal paste doesn't do its job anymore (with time).
