Hey All,

I got my Dual 867 after about a week waiting. I ordered it on the 26th of August and received it on the following Wedesday. (Thats in the UK)

I'll tell you one thing though - your wait will be well worth it. i don't know if it is jaguara causing it or the fact that I have upgraded from a Sawtooth 400 - but this machine is SO much faster.

Hope Santa comes soon to you...

Phil.

Yes! Got mine this Friday, August 30, in Zurich, Switzerland (Dual 1 GHz).

I like the speed... I hate the noise it is making...

Looks like mine is shipping too
Maybe i`ll get it before the weekend....hope so!!

Looking forward to experience the speedbump, i`m currently using a PCI G4 350mhz. Gonna be interesting to hear it too. There`s so many different user reports about how the noise level is experienced?!

Chris, is the noise constant or does it differ depending on what kind of "work" the computer does?

Well.. It is not constant. It is the big fan blowing through the heatsink of the dual processors. First it is ok (bearable) then, after about a half hour the fan speeds up to second gear for about half a minute, then back to normal. This then repeats itself every few minutes. This happens even when I am not using much of the processor power.

I am not sure if there is something wrong with my machine or if I just have to life with it.

Chris.

I went to a reseller in London and picked up a dual 867 off the shelf...I have had it for about 2 weeks now.

I called the Applestore in the UK at the same time, and they said that delivery from them was in the range of 7 days. 3 days buld time, and up to 5 working days to deliver...

Awesome machine, and IMHO well worth any wait people may have

Marc
