Does anyone have one of these suckers ?:

If so: what are your impressions/comments. I'm interested in picking up on of these (Rev.B model) for use as second monitor with my PowerBook, these diplays would be perfect in my setup with their desktop mounting (newer Apple 15" LCD's are to high). Also very important: how would te brightness be compared to my PowerBook 867's LCD ?

-thanks

All desktop LCD's are brighter then laptops as they can use more power.

Those displays are nice although they look better with the picture stand. Steve Jobs was reported to hate that stand shown in the picts.

Anywho, that monitor also has direct RCA inputs which is cool.

Well I hope on ebay, but the problem is that not everyone is willing to ship to Europe, otherwise I have this site http://www.tweedehandsmac.nl which looks quite nice, I'll put up a request for this screen on there too. I'm under the impression that these are quite rare. I'm also hoping to buy it for around 100-120, well it IS a +3 year old display.

they are nice but the front is transparent too...

Watcha mean the current ones are too high? I say they're waay too low!

What is it with all this low neck crap I'm 6'3 and pissed off that most computers are made for people that are 4'4 or something

Do you put it in the floor or something? I am 6'2 and mine is fine on my desk.

Socially Awkward Solo, you must either have a low desk or a high chair

Well, they are too high compared to my PowerBook, which is sitting right on my desk (without iCurve), the display I want can be mounted right with his bottom on the desk so that it is at about the same hight as my PowerBook screen, which is much more comfortable, the current screens are mounted too high for this kind of setup. (I hope my sentances are somewhat correct, cause I'm tired and I have no idea of what I'm typing).

Yea... this display looks very cool and pretty rare nowadays. Meanwhile, it has been more than 3 years old, which makes me worrying about the backlight since you are looking for a 2nd hand.
