Riddle me this webbers!

Some nice sounds to puzzle this over with...

http://www.outsideline.co.uk/players/online/jakatta/#

Go to this excellent jakatta sampler and grab the url from the address bar and drag it to the desktop to make a desktop URL of it - done that ? - well that damn file is invisible.

Starts with a (dot) or something - now your in the same position as me - how do we rid ourseleves of this pesky url file ?

How did you know it's there?

rm ~/Desktop/..--\ JAKATTA\ --....--\ VISIONS\ --...webloc
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

It was an ordinary visible file when I tried it.

But an invisible file (dot file) can be deleted in Terminal with the rm command:

rm ~/Desktop/filename

That should delete the file named "filename" on your desktop.

Or you can install TinkerToys to make invisible files visible. Go to version tracker for that.

Tools of the trade.

Developer: How did you know it's there?
Found those pesky URL files in the first place by using 'FruitMenu CM' with 'show invisibles' turned on.
To remove'em
I used a tool called 'Invisibles' available at www.mac4ever.de - makes all invisible items visible and then vice-versa !
