I have a PowerMac 5500 with a G3 400 Mhz and 128 MB RAM. I have VPC 3.0 running Win95 at a very acceptable speed. Has anyone tried VPC 4 with a similar configuration? please let me know before I dish out my hard earned $80

I noticed only a very minimal speed increase on an Oct '99 iMac 350...
Not worth your shelling out $80 (but, I guess, it's not like I did... ).

How much faster is Win95 vs Win98?
I have VPC4 w/win98. Is it worth switching to Win95?
Would the speed difference be very noticable?

I recently installed Win98 in VPC 3 and it was noticably slower than Win95. The mouse was a bit jerkey and my machine seemed stretched where as Win95 runs almost as if it is a native OS - so I re-installed it.
VPC with Win98 also requires more memory.

Hey, Twisted,
Speaking of a jerky pointer, I bought VPC 3.0 DOS and tried to install my copy of Win 95 into it. The pointer was jerky. There must have been something wrong with the installation. Connectix support thought it would be simplest to return VPC DOS and get the Win 95 version. I did, and it works like a charm. Might your problem have a similar cause?

They had your return it? <sigh> All you needed to do was reinstall the VPC additions I'd guess.
