It is possible to add the finder to shapeshifter's exlude list? I've searched everywhere for a finder 'program file' but I can't seem to find one. Thanks

The finder can be found in:
/System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app
|

I don't believe it will search in /System unless you specify it.
