Today, I got on board with Cyberduck FTP, and it asked about being added to keychain. So I added my ftp password there so it could remember the setting. I had not dealt with keychain in years.

Not sure it connected/related but now I've got this nuisance of a lot of things asking for keychain, Adobe, and two that wont dismiss even when I click cancel: com.apple.icloudhelper, and accountsd (have no idea what that is).

Help! What is this?

we get this issue at work because of a password that's changed by windows and it's a PITA. It's probable that you had a keychain all along just never changed anything.

what happens when you enter your user password in the prompt?

if password doesn't help, you could
a) try to change the keychain password in the edit>changesettings,
b) delete keychain and start over (make sure you know your passwords)
c) delete keychain prefs from library.

Andi what does this mean " It's probable that you had a key chain all along just never changed anything. "

Just now on my desktop desktop (where this took place), I just saw a new weird message/ box Pasting from your Macbook air.. WTF..?
Pasting from your Macbook air what going on?

Did not understand the rest of your answer.
I don't want to delete preferences right? I have hundred of key chain password, I don't want to annihilate them right?

How did this all start? Still lost.

Anyone know this?

Super OS nuisance. I've googled other threads but they are a bit dated on this so seeing anyone has first hand experience here. Thanks.

I also get

Node wants to use the login keychain box, you click cancel and the box wont go away. Reboot helps, but comes back a few weeks later.

I notice maybe it also comes back when I play around with new FTP clients I'm testing, but I'm not sure that is related

What to do?
