Hello-

Browsing around I see lots of themes. I was just wondering if we have a centeral archive of themes. Not necessarly just professional themes but I think minor edits, like the Warm Amber Theme, should get more views.

Do we have anyplace like that? Or should we think of putting together? Someplace for professional and nonprofessional themes to be viewed. Much like kaleidoscope.net was.

They don't seem to keep up. Or maybe nobody just sends them anything right away.

Someone had proposed a site to keep track of that type of thing a while ago on here. I remember it looked something like ipoding.com, if I remember correctly.

Theme site projects tend to fizzle, especially when announced on these boards. Must be some sort of a curse! But I've heard of another site that is being planned, that will definitely be made within a few weeks.

From who?

Macupdate.com

Those cows won't know what hit 'em. They won't know what hit them even after it hits them, because they're cows.

I'll agree with the macupdate.com suggestion.
Go there and list your themes. It could use more.

If interested I have a gallery script I built using PHP/mySQL that supprts user control of images. Users create an account and upload/delete and images they wish in their archive. The user portion contains a search engine that can search by name, description or username. I can add in the ability to upload a theme and have a preview as well, and have it all user controlled pretty easy. Only thing I haven't gotten around to was building the an admin page. If interested I would be willing to work with a few of the themers out there to suit the need. Just let me know.

Ok I've got with friend and we have GREATLY modified the theme. It's much cooler now in my opinion. Hopefully I'll upload a new tester file tomorrow. Or at least a screen shot.

actually I started to make a website for themes about 6 month ago. And I have restarted the project.

It will be like a community where themers register and upload there themes. Other users can download 'em without registrating. I have made the registration and login. Only the theme-db, browsing and searching that DB is left. Except for som minor stuff.

And I do not know where to have the site. I have it on my comp right now. But I can't have it as an webserver 24/7. Support for PHP and SQL is needed.

Anny suggestions and ideas will be appreciated!

If anyone is interested in doing something like this, I have the perfect domain for this kind of project. This isn't a sale or anything; just looking for someone who has a bit more time available to put into than I do.

They need to work on the sorting and decriptions a bit, like if it's Panther or Jag compatable... but it really is a nice site.

Indeed, but it hasn't had a lot of publicity. I didn't even know it was back up or had an english version until recently.

1c3,

That's because there isn't a site there, I just had the proposal to have someone maybe use that domain if they were interested in collaborating on such project.
