A friend of mine has a Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh with a Remote control. I think there were 5500s with the same type of remote, you might have seen one.
Anyway, he wants to know if there's a way to get the remote to run AppleScripts. I couldn't find anything in a hurryso I thought I'd ask you: Is there a way to do this?

The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

I remember there was an open source application that allowed you to control MacAmp with that r/c. If you're a developer you could make it run AppleScripts instead, dunno. And if you manage to do that, the RC is entirely compatible with Sony remotes, in case you need more buttons

I can't find any trace of it.

Maybe with a USB card, a keyspan digital remote and some ingenuity, ya might get there. You might have to have the remote send an Fkey, which is tied to a script via the Keyboard control panel.
Kinda Rube Goldberg-esque, but I bet it would work.
