Ok, preface: I recently had a problem with Safaricon crashing whenever I tried to run it. So I tried removing it (and all related prefs files) and reinstalling, no dice. So I did it again and also removed Safari (this was earlier today). This fixed my Safaricon problem, but a new problem arose. Check it:

I have removed any mods to Safari in the picture, and I still get the problem. The following contextual menu items will not show up: Open Link in New Window, Copy Link to Clipboard, and Copy Image to Clipboard. They show that "localized string not found" instead.

WTF?!?!?!

There could be some permission problems within the safari package. You try repairing permissions?

The Apple Support pages are filled with this very same problem as well...I haven't seen a very "clear" answer to the issue; however, it seems that some localization files are missing and some have shown success by installing Safari again and/or applying the 10.3.4 Update again (though it's been known to show in 10.3.3 as well)...

But weird that I got it after a fresh safari install...

I'm gonna try the permissions repair thing first. Hopefully that does it.

Ok, repair permissions didn't fix it, reinstall of safari didn't fix it. How do I go about reinstalling the 10.3.4 update without a complete OS reinstall?

Just run the installer/package again...

Before you reinstall the OS, create another user account on your machine. Does it exhibit the same problem? If so, it's not a problem with Safari, but with your account. There are lots of files that could be at fault:

~/Library/Safari
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist
~/Library/Caches/Safari
~/Library/Application Support/SyncService/LastSync Data/Safari

...and possibly some others that escape me at the moment.

It does the same thing on my other user account.

I have already installed the 10.3.4 update again. Nothing seems to be working...
