I did a fresh Jaguar install, and then tried to install OS 9.0 to get classic running.

I restarted form the OS 9 disk. The installation ran for 15 minutes and then just froze. I force quit and tried again. Same problem. Has anyone had the same situation?

All you really need is the OS 9 System Folder to run Classic. Jaguar will update the components it needs the first time Classic is run.

So... couldn't you install OS 9 onto another computer (or partition, or even on a mounted, hefty-sized disk image) and then just copy the System Folder over?

Just a guess; haven't tried it, but it seems like it might work.
