ever since installing 10.2 i cannot do two things at once on the web. i am using the latest AOL (okay, don't shoot me, it's my parents account i'm still using for free) as an ISP, but hide it immediately after signing on (with 56k modem). when i am downloading a file i cannot also check my email. last night i was transfering my web site onto my drive, and could not surf the web while it was downloading - except between file transfers. it seems that there is only one connection allowed at a time for the entire computer (through all applications). anyone else experiencing this? what can i do to get back to normal? is this a jaguar "feature"?

This is an issue with your modem drivers or initialize string. Trust me. I worked with these kind of modem issues for Bellsouth.

I'd say it's probably 90% the initialize string. Try some different ones.
