hoping someone might see this question here :

have genius bar appoiintments changed ?

I went to my local store, down to the genius appointments but could not get an

appointment as I have in the past. im under the impression that the GB's are over
whelmed and the genius page wants you to 'chat'

rather than go to a store in the future

is this the case? can one make an appt via your home computer these days ?

Haven't had to use one in quite some time. Been trouble free for a long time. I do remember being rejected for a walk-in before. I had to make an appointment using one of their iMacs before being seen.

You can make an appointment via browser, but it looks like they'll want to attempt to resolve it via chat before ponying up an appointment.

It shouldn't be too hard to get an appointment if the problem warrants it.

What's the problem?

Download the Apple Store app. You can schedule an appt. in about ten seconds.

If possible, that's going to be the best way.

I happen to go to the apple store this am

the way around the 'chat' on the store site is to indicate a broken screen etc

some thing that cant be solved on line the the usual GB windows open up and you

then go from there

apparently there were a lot of appts that could be solved online taking a minute or so
