Hi,
Before installing Xcode my mac had a start up time of no more then 30 seconds and shutdown 5 seconds, since installing Xcode these have changed to 1 minute 15 seconds for start up and 10 seconds to shut down. Is this normal? My friends mac has done the exact same thing, is there any way to fix this without removing xcode?

Xcode really shouldn't have an effect on startup at all and shouldn't effect shutdown unless it's running when you tell the system to shutdown. Are these actual measurements or just estimations? The only services Xcode has that could start at startup are the distributed building daemons. You didn't enable those, did you?

The times I have given are actual measurements although the shutdown time is more like 15-20 seconds, it is defiantly Xcode that has done this as I have not changed anything else. When installing I went for the Standard Install and let it do what ever it wanted so I don't know if distributed building daemons have been enabled how would I check?
