I have many problems gettimg my serial ports to work under 8.6. I have a Powercomputing clone with a XLR8 G3 card. I get frequent messages saying "my port is in use by another application...probably appletalk"...but when Apple talk is not active on my machine. Any suggestions?

I found at the problems with my serial ports are related to my keyspan USB card (many problems have been reported with this card and system 8.6). When I simply disconnected my USB connected Epson EX Photo printer from my keyspan USB card my serial port problems disappeared. I also have a Keyspan serial adapter hooked up to the second port of this USB card and my serial Wacom tablet connected to this USB port via the serial adapter works perfectly...what a mess huh? Anyway, I'm waiting for Keyspan to update their USB drivers. I can still use my Espson printer with my serial printer port
