I installed the 8.6 upgrade on my B&W G3-400, and can no longer run DVD movies with the DVDPlayer app. Instead, I get an error: Apple DVD Player cannot open because the Apple CD/DVD extension is not istalled or the DVD-ROM Module could not be found.

The extension is installed and enabled, and of course the DVD module is installed. Everything worked great with 8.5.1.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Thx

Make sure that you have the latest version of OpenGL or no version at all. If you have Norton AntiVirus, be sure to turn the Norton AntiVirus Auto-Protect off. This is what eventually worked for me. My best guess is that there is a problem between 8.6 and Norton AntiVirus. I hope there is a bug fix in the works!
