I'm surprised there's an Xbox thread, a wii thread, but no ps3 love thread.

Anyhow, I haven't seen that many jerks on MacNN in all these years that I've been on, so I don't think it's a bad idea to add some of you to go play some COD4 (which my co-worker and I are completely obsessed with).

PSN s/n: kentuckyfried

I might not be able to accept some invites until I delete a bunch people off of the now defunct INV clan.
Hope to see some of you soon!

Mine's the same as my 'NN username, and I absolutely love my PS3. I still need to pick up COD4 and UT3 for it though.

Anyone know if you can use a USB keyboard+mouse for COD4 like you can in UT3?

XFPS adaptor for keyboards allows Sixaxis button mapping - PS3 Fanboy

this might help you....I'm almost tempted to buy one and try it out.

I think I'm on there, but I've never done any online gaming. I'm timid about it because I'm not a hardcore gamer, and I'm sure I wouldn't last long.

lol...yeah, I know alot of my friends expressed anxiety over "not being great" but I think that once you get over that hill and just play to have fun, that you will have fun.

The nice thing about COD4 is that it's not like the old Socom days where you'd wait almost 7 minutes to get into a game, get into the game, get killed after 30 seconds, and then have to wait about 5 minutes for the round to end, wash and repeat. Wait time is minimal. Pressure to do well is minimal. There are the occasional jerks online but the ps3 people tend to be more mature (esp. the 10 p.m. crowd) and you don't necessarily have to listen to them anyhow...just plug in a headset and then leave it on the coffee table.

Weird that this isn't a sticky.

My PSN screen name: yonatron76

Haven't tried anything online yet, but maybe I'll give Team Fortress 2 or Tekken 5 a whirl soon.

wow...this thread...back from the dead.

I am currently messing around with Metal Gear Online alot (not really playing, just lvl'ing up skills using a rubber-banded controller). I have to finish the Battlefield: Bad Company demo and get to lvl 4 before the whole thing gets its plug pulled.

Well, I figured this thread would make sense for finding people to interact with on the PS3. I only have one IRL acquaintance with a PS3. Anyway, anybody on here have T5DR online?

OzzMan.

I like to race in MotorStorm a lot. Sometimes you can find my playing Resistance, but racing is my thang
